Since 2017, the “Berlin Conference on Life Sciences” focuses on novel antimicrobials, with the BEAM Alliance stepping in as one of its major supporting partners. Launched in June 2015, the BEAM (Biotech companies in Europe combating AntiMicrobial Resistance) Alliance is a strong network of approx. 50 small and medium-sized European biopharmaceutical companies committed to developing innovative products for fending off antibiotic-resistant pathogens. The aim is to establish the Berlin Conference as the one-stop-shop in Europe to meet all AMR relevant stakeholders in industry, finance, policy and application-oriented science.
