BARDA seeks proposals for new Antibacterial Accelerator
BARDA is seeking proposals for a new Antibacterial Accelerator which is funded for the next ten years. It will set upon the results delivered by CARB-X over the past five years.
As the initial five-year program comes to a close, the 2020-2025 U.S. National Action Plan for CARB spells out the U.S. government’s commitment to continued support of early-stage development of innovative antibacterial products. Demonstrating that ongoing commitment, BARDA is launching a set of special instructions to the BARDA Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to seek proposals for another 10 years of investment through an Antibacterial Accelerator.
According to the announcement, this Antibacterial Accelerator will provide non-dilutive funding and a full suite of research and development support to product developers worldwide, with continued focus on supporting candidate programs to counter the threat of AMR now and in the future.
Full proposals may be submitted until 4:30PM ET on Monday, June 28, 2021. For details, visit the BARDA BAA Amendment 25 for Special Instructions under Area of Interest #3.4:
