New report of animal health R&D funding patterns
Together with the International Development Research Center (IDRC), the Global AMR R&D Hub published a new report analysing the funding patterns of animal health AMR R&D in LMICs.
Antimicrobial resistance is a global public health threat that disproportionately affects low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). It presents risks to human health and also has severe implications for the health and welfare of animal populations, with major food security and environmental implications. IDRC and the Global AMR R&D Hub have published a new report, which analyses the funding patterns of animal health AMR R&D in LMICs. In publishing this report, our two organizations hope to provide insight into investment and data gaps to inform the international community and provide evidence to help set future funding priorities in AMR research.
