NICE published impact report on AMR

In November, the British National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published an impact report on antimicrobial resistance. The report details the progress being made by the UK’s healthcare system in implementing NICE guidance.

The NICEimpact on antimicrobial resistance focuses on how NICE’s evidence based guidance can change prescribing practice to help slow the emergence of AMR and ensure that antimicrobials remain effective treatments for managing infections. It also contains a commentary by Professor Mike Sharland and Professor Peter Wilson review recent achievements and consider NICE’s role in combating antimicrobial resistance.
