Coen van Hasselt

Coen van Hasselt is an associate professor of quantitative pharmacology at Leiden University, The Netherlands. His group is focused on the development and application of PK/PD, pharmacometrics, and quantitative systems pharmacology modeling as well as the use of in vitro infection models to support the translational development and dose optimization of antimicrobial therapies. Special attention is on the development of treatment strategies which prevent resistance emergence, and more recently on the use of PK/PD approaches to support the development and optimization of novel therapeutic modalities such as bacteriophage treatments and host-directed therapies.
