Yuping Li

The microbiologist Yuping Li has been an Assistant Professor for Infection and Immunity at the Biozentrum of the University of Basel since October 2024 and is part of the National Center of Competence in Research “NCCR AntiResist”. Yuping received her Bachelor of Engineering in Bioinformatics from Huazhong University of Science & Technology in Wuhan, China. In 2019, she received her doctorate from Stanford University. Subsequently, Yuping worked as a postdoc at the University of California, San Francisco, and studied the interaction between bacteria and jumbophages. She was also a visiting scientist at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg from October 2022 to June 2023.
