Romney Humphries

Romney Humphries, PhD D(ABMM) is a Professor in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She is the Vice Chair of Clinical Services Executive Medical Director of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

Romney received her PhD in bacteriology from the University of Calgary, Canada did her microbiology fellowship at UCLA. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Microbiology.
She is the author of over 200 peer-review articles, numerous book chapters and has lectured globally on the topics of antimicrobial resistance and diagnostic microbiology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology and a fellow of the IDSA.
