
Abdulrhman Mohana
Dr. Abdulrhman Mohana is a Consultant Pharmacist and Senior Health Expert in the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Division at the Public Health Authority of Saudi Arabia.
He currently leads the Biotechnology file at the Public Health Authority, National Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, and is an active member of several national strategies and initiatives focusing on the pharmaceutical industry and drug security. Dr. Mohana also contributes to various scientific committees dedicated to the field.
Dr. Mohana holds a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, and a PhD specializing in the Best Use of Medicine and Medication Safety, with a focus on antimicrobial use and resistance. He has extensive experience in hospital pharmacy, including establishing pharmacy services, regulatory practices, and clinical pharmacy. During his PhD studies, he collaborated and worked with the National Health Service (NHS), UK.
Dr. Mohana played a pivotal role in shaping the AMR agenda for Saudi Arabia during the G20 Health meetings in 2020 and contributed significantly to the 4th Global High-Level Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance in 2024. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Multisectoral AMR Committee, the Saudi National Institute of Health’s scientific team, and various pharmaceutical societies.
