Amir Nakar

Amir Nakar is the Scientific Affairs Specialist at MeMed. His graduate studies at the Volcani Institute for Agricultural Research in Israel focused on methods to detect microbial contamination in drinking water. He then transitioned to the Leibniz Institute for Photonic Technology in Germany, where he combined novel light-based methods and machine learning to study antimicrobial resistance in clinical samples. In his current role, Amir works for MeMed, a company specializing in utilizing the host immune response to diagnose infections. Amir helps establish international research collaborations, coordinate scientific research and communicate MeMed’s latest research findings.
