Jens Hellwage
Dr. Jens Hellwage is the Managing Director of the InfectoGnostics Research Campus Jena, a Thuringian innovation cluster, overseeing a public-private partnership with 30+ collaborators from science, medicine, and industry. Specializing in infection diagnostics, the cluster transforms concepts into market-ready on-site solutions. Jens holds a Ph.D. from the University of Hamburg and worked at Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine, with expertise in innate immune response regulators. His postdoc time at the Haartman Institute of the University of Helsinki was followed by leading a junior research group at the Leibniz Institute Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology in Jena. With an additional background at the startup 4-Antibody AG (now Agenus) from 2005-2012 in Jena and Basel, Jens has been bridging academic research and commercial diagnostic product development since 2013 at InfectoGnostics. He is also coordinator of the Leibniz Health Technologies research alliance.
