Laura Plant
Head of External Affairs, International Vaccine Institute
Laura Plant is the Head of External Affairs at the European Regional Office of the International Vaccine Institute, promoting IVI’s market position and stakeholder engagement in Europe. She has worked with research funding support through positions at the Karolinska Institute and the Swedish Research Council. She led the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance scientific portfolio, and managed and coordinated the AMR research funding and policy support projects from the European Commission. Laura holds a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and has a research background in bacterial pathogenesis and immunity.
