Leela Maitreyi

Leela Maitreyi is a molecular biologist by training with advanced degrees from IBAB, Bangalore and Graduate school of business, Stanford, USA. She started her career at Cellworks Life, a precision oncology company. There, she set up their oncology and dermatology biosimulation and modelling platforms, with key focus areas in solid tumour pathways. Post Cellworks, Leela started Noisy Newton, a children’s science learning and experiential product company with a customer base in the age group 6-14 years. For the last 6 years, Leela has been with Bugworks, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company working on novel antibacterials and anti-cancer drug discovery. Here, her role entails strategy, BD and global collaborations. She has been working on creating financial models for LMIC launch of novel anti-bacterials. Leela has been a speaker in several forums, twice at panels organized by Swissnex.
