Mai Hoang is currently a senior scientist at Dynamic42 GmbH in Jena, Germany. Having completed her Ph.D. at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Products and Infection Biology (Hans Knöll Institute, Jena, Germany) in 2020, her research focus was on establishing an invasive aspergillosis model. Currently, at D42, she is actively engaged in the development of a bronchus-on-chip model and contributes to assay development for academic and pharmaceutical applications. Her ongoing project involves crafting a human primary bronchus-on-chip model to explore Aspergillus fumigatus infection dynamics and evaluate antifungal drug efficacy. Mai Hoang regularly participates in scientific conferences and has authored several publications on Aspergillus infections, committing herself to advancing knowledge in fungal infections.
